In an article from Next Big Futures, a research group at the University of Sydney is looking at the future of the business.
“In a nutshell, we’re thinking about how businesses are going to change and how businesses will adapt,” says Andrew Whitehead, director of the group’s business strategy department.
“There’s a lot of uncertainty, a lot less transparency in business and a lot more uncertainty around innovation and how we’re going to deliver new products and services.”
“Businesses will adapt and adapt to the changing landscape of technology and the digital world,” Mr Whitehead said.
“What we are doing with the business is to give businesses an opportunity to find ways of thinking about their businesses in a way that is as adaptable as possible, but also that allows them to adapt as much as they need to in terms of technology, in terms, and what they want to deliver.”
The research group has a range of research projects focused on how businesses adapt and the challenges they face, from managing innovation and managing cost.
The key focus is the changing nature of the work that businesses do.
“Business is about delivering services and services are about delivering things to customers,” Mr Brown said.
“The technology is the new frontier.
A key issue in that regard is the growing need for technology-enabled products and experiences, Mr Brown added. “
Technology is changing everything, not just about how people are getting their work done, it’s changing everything about the way we interact with the world and the way people interact with each other.”

“We are seeing a lot in the retail, restaurant, media, health and personal care space where they are using technology to deliver services to customers in a manner that is really more like what you would get from a hardware device,” he said.
A big change in the workplace will see more and more people using technology on a regular basis, he said, which is creating a big opportunity for companies to take advantage of new technologies.
“You’re going for this shift in what we do and how our work is done and that’s something that’s going to lead to more people moving into technology in the next couple of years, but that will lead to greater opportunities for people who have the expertise and are the right fit in the work space,” Mr Wilson said.
”So it’s going be very much in the interest of everyone to get the best out of this.
“So that’s creating an opportunity for everyone to have the best products and the best services in the future, but to be able to do that in a sustainable way. “
The key change that we’re seeing in our industry is that people are moving to technology, not necessarily in the sense of the technology that we have, but in the direction that they want,” he explained.

In the past few years, there has been a big push by companies like Apple, Microsoft and Amazon to take full advantage of mobile devices, but many are finding that their efforts have not been enough.
“For many years, companies like Amazon and Microsoft have had the capability to create a massive cloud computing operation in the cloud, which in a sense, is the equivalent of a data centre,” Mr Black said.
“But we’ve now gone to the next level of computing where the data is stored on individual devices, and that requires you to move from commodity to cloud computing and so it is an entirely different industry, it is a whole different set of challenges.”
I think that it’s now going to be a huge time for the companies to innovate,” Mr Green said.
